Yoto Says: Three cards, three adventures, and one very unusual library: join Oliver Wormwood and his friend Agatha as they battle giant crabs, outwit rogue books, and try to keep the kingdom safe from those who would misuse the written word.
Oliver Wormwood thought his new job in the library would be boring. Then he learned that books hold great power, and danger. This three-card collection brings together all three adventures, following Oliver and his friend Agatha as they face rogue books, giant crabs, firedrakes, a great many cats, and a snail the size of a cottage, all while trying to keep the kingdom safe from those who would misuse the written word.
This collection includes:
The 113th Assistant Librarian: Oliver Wormwood is sure his new job in the library will be boring. Until he learns that books hold great power - and danger. By the end of his first day, Oliver has witnessed a death, been frozen by a book, met a perplexing number of cats, and fought off a horde of terrifying creatures. With only a mysterious girl called Agatha to show him the ropes, Oliver needs to learn fast . . . if he wants to live longer than the 112 assistant librarians before him.
The 113th Assistant Librarian 2: Lost in a Book: Oliver has settled into his life as the 113th assistant librarian. He loves his job – even though it sometimes includes battling giant crabs or fending off firedrakes – and his new friend, the mostly-human Agatha, is always on hand to help. But when he discovers a rare edition of a history book with unique wording, he realises the slightest misinterpretation could endanger the entire kingdom. Determined to solve this mystery, he and Agatha leave the library – with the help of an unpredictable transporting book – to establish the truth. But can they prevent Annabel Clowritch, the esteemed Member for Upper-Lower Tumbledown Barrows, from using the text to her own advantage . . . and stop a war?
The 113th Assistant Librarian 3: Forbidden Pages: Oliver Wormwood is shocked when Library Director Thorne arrives in Blackmoor-upon-Wyvern to take control of the library. Even worse, the director has noticed that several especially volatile books are missing, so Oliver and Agatha set out to retrieve the overdue titles. Following a trail of retired pirates, apprentice mages and a snail the size of a cottage, will they survive the magical books long enough to return home?
